Doula Consultation

Before Pregnancy & After Loss

Pregnancy can bring excitement, joy, questions, uncertainty, and everything in between. These one-to-one sessions provide personalised support throughout your pregnancy, creating space for you to feel informed, nurtured, and confident as you prepare for birth and parenthood.

Support is tailored to your needs and may include discussing birth preferences, emotional wellbeing, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, preparing for labour and postpartum, hypnobirthing techniques, comfort measures, partner support, or simply having time to talk through your thoughts and feelings with someone who will listen without judgment.

Every pregnancy journey is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Hourly support allows you to access guidance and care exactly when you need it, helping you feel supported every step of the way.

During Pregnancy & Preparing for Birth

Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, navigating fertility journeys, or finding your way after loss, this space is designed to meet you exactly where you are. These sessions provide compassionate, one-to-one support tailored to your individual needs, offering guidance, practical information, and emotional care during times that can often feel uncertain, overwhelming, or isolating.

Support may include preparing your body and mind for pregnancy, exploring wellbeing and lifestyle choices, talking through concerns or questions, processing emotions around fertility or loss, and creating a space where you feel heard and supported without judgment.

There is no set path and no expectation; simply gentle, personalised support available by the hour, for as long as you need it.

After the birth

The postpartum period is a time of enormous change; physically, emotionally, and mentally. As you adjust to life with your baby, it can also be a time when support for you is needed most. These one-to-one sessions provide practical and emotional care to help you feel nurtured, supported, and less alone during your transition into parenthood.

Support is tailored to your individual needs and may include newborn guidance, emotional wellbeing support, infant feeding support, nutrition and nourishment, practical help with establishing routines, birth reflection, partner and family adjustment, or simply creating space for you to rest, talk, and be cared for.

There is no expectation to “have it all figured out.” Whether you need reassurance, a listening ear, practical guidance, or support through the challenges and joys of early parenthood, hourly sessions are available to meet you where you are and provide support in the way that feels right for you.

Hannah took the time to facilitate an open discussion about our worries, which created a safe space for us to express ourselves. This not only helped us feel heard but also led to valuable insights that we might not have uncovered otherwise.

It helps you feel informed, calm, and confident, giving you tools to support a more positive birth experience.

What to Expect from the KGH Hypnobirthing Class

Prepare for birth with personalised, hypnobirthing support through a private one-to-one KGH Hypnobirthing course, designed entirely around you and your family’s needs. Delivered over four private sessions, this course takes place at a time and location that suits you, allowing you to learn in a relaxed, comfortable environment without the limitations of a group setting.

KGH Hypnobirthing is far more than breathing techniques or relaxation exercises. It is a complete antenatal education programme that combines science, practical tools, and mindset work to help you approach birth feeling informed, calm, and confident; whatever kind of birth you are planning. Each session is tailored to your individual questions, circumstances, preferences, and any previous experiences you may bring with you.

As an expat parent myself, this course is also specifically designed with families preparing to give birth in Zurich in mind. Alongside the core KGH programme, we explore practical and local considerations that standard courses often miss; helping you understand how maternity care, hospital systems, birth choices, and postpartum support work within Zurich and Switzerland, so you feel more informed and confident navigating your local options.

Four key benefits of this training that go beyond a standard birth class:

❋ Rewiring fear and building confidence

Learn how fear impacts the body during labour and discover practical techniques to replace anxiety with confidence; helping you approach birth with greater calm and trust in yourself.

❋ Understanding the science of birth physiology

Gain a deeper understanding of how your body and mind work together during labour; so you can make informed decisions and support the natural processes of birth wherever possible.

❋ Local knowledge designed for Zurich families

Go beyond general birth education with guidance tailored to giving birth in Zurich; including understanding local maternity systems, navigating your options, and preparing for life as a new parent within the Swiss healthcare environment.

❋ Meaningful partner involvement

Partners are given a clear and active role; learning practical techniques to provide emotional and physical support, helping them feel confident and connected rather than unsure of how to help.

By the end of the course, you won’t simply have more information; you’ll leave with practical skills, greater confidence, and the tools to approach birth feeling prepared and empowered.
